Pick the right one

With lots of variety of accommodation, you can plan your stay to maximize your budget. If you are planning to go out for the whole day, you may want to stay in budget hotels that is not located near the beach as you wouldn’t spend a time there anyway besides resting at night.
If you are planning to have free time in the hotel, it is good to spend a bit to stay in hotels with beaches or few facilities, or even some villas with private pool.

Location, Location, Location

Pick the right accommodation at the right location.
Time is precious in your holiday and you will want to spend your time enjoying the places instead of stuck in the car in traffic. Traffic in Bali can be pretty bad sometimes especially during rush hours, the same as other metropolis city. With the right location planning, you can even squeeze an extra place or two in your daily schedule.

Mix & Match

You don’t have to stay in the same place during your whole holiday. Sometimes it is better to stay in different hotels allowing you to maximize your enjoyment.
When your flight arrive midnight, best to stay in 3 or 4 starts hotel just as a stopover before moving to better hotel the next day. This will save yourself some budget.
When you have packed schedule, better stay in cheaper hotel without facilities as you likely won’t have time to enjoy them, and move to better facilitated hotel during your free day schedule.

Stay Local

Sometimes it is best to avoid chain hotels and stay at local ones.
Chain hotel have tendencies to provide better services stated by their international standards, yet they can be pricier. Local hotels and villas may not have the same standard as them, but you may find a gem in the haystack. Some has better location, friendlier services, and certainly will be more budget friendly.
